The Sony STR-DB1080 was delivered with the RM-LP211 remote, very cool but not learning, hence the RM-AV3000 (did not recognise sony and non sony items)

Are there any codes for the Sony STR-DB1080 receiver. I cannot get any 4xxx series codes on the RM-AV3000 to work the receiver.

In the interim, I have attempted to train the AMP channel to the existing remote, but have little success with getting the Volume to repeat when holding down.
I read the other threads on volume, and could not get it to repeat the signal. (when learning - I tapped, I pressed, and I held down volume on LP211)

I am assuming that if I get the correct code for the AV Receiver, it should also address the vol issue

Thanks for the assistance, and the wealth of info in this forum

BTW - I also cannot find a code that also supports the DVP-C670D DVD 5 Disc changer properly. Cannot get it to change discs.

As a follow-up I applied the AV1/AV2 swap for the
STR-DA4ES/STR-DA7ES Receivers as noted in
[Link: remotecentral.com]

(this may be that the DA4ES and DB1080 are the same core unit - different power and QS vs ES componentry)

Now this provides the core functionality as Channel selection (Vid1/DVD/TV etc) and volume is continuous, however a number of the other functions do not work.

I will train for other functions.
Still need to work out the DVD, any suggestions?

I had the same issue, some of the buttons wouldn't repeat but I figured out that once you have taught a command you can't just overwrite it by pressing the learn button again & again, you have to delete the already learned command & teach it again, except this time press & hold down the button on the old remote when teaching it to the RM-AV3000T, it worked for me.
