can you use a direct tv pvr and view sat 1 input and sat 2 input to have pix/pix. if so how do you wire it. it's connected to a/v1 and rf ch 3. it's a 50 in plasma wit hall the bells and whistles. ( whis cust did ) have dvr and bose LS 38 dvd player which is useing the av/1 input. any help would do thanks dave

IF I understand you correctly, you have a pvr from directtv. That and your dvd player are both using input 1 on your TV? The pvr is also being modulated onto channel 3?

As far as viewing sat 1 input and sat 2 input, what exactly do you want to "see"? Those two cables are feeding satellite signals into the dvr (I assume so you can record one show and view another).

If I understand the question, Dave is asking if it's possible to get the two tuners' outputs separately. As far as I know, there is no way, short of two separate receivers. A single-tuner receiver would suffice for the second pic-in-pic input.

thanks larry and dan. larry got it right. it's pvr/direct tv/bose 48/50" akai plasma. tried to get them to at least up grade to an hd box. still no luck. thanks again dave
