Anyone else out there running the new MPEG 4 receiver with Local HD Channels. The picture looks great however from time to time the sound keeps dropping (For about 2 seconds) out only on the HD locals not the SD locals. The picture doesn't have any issues only the sound. Hopefully it is some bugs in the system that they are working out with compression or something. I am using the Optical cable and it only happens on HD Locals.

????

Yep, I had a client tell me about it last night, he called it pauses in the sound because the sound then wasn't sync'd for a little while.

Since you have installed one of these dishes, did you get signal on all five lnb's including 99, I could not get signal on 99 and someone told me it wasn't up yet. Do you know if that is true?

OK I think I may have an answer, in the case I have the client has the new 5 sat dish, and an h20 mpeg 4 rcvr.

When the audio was dropping it was his av rcvr that was resyncing on DD or prologic, this system is hooked up optical only, so I am goin to run some analog cables and tell him to switch the input from dig to analog next time he expereinces the drop and see if that fixes it.

Tell us what happens. It would be useful to know whether this is the H20 or the encoding/setup of all the new channels.

zinon,
It can't be the same thing, the HR10 cannot receive the MPEG4 signals.
