Thanks for your help Daniel..yes, i agree about the price..i think ive found one for about 70 bucks at RS..ill just need 0ne with 2 inputs for a DVD and d-vhs..by the way..i finally got up to trying the OFA tuner in the D-vhs..i cant belive the difference in picture clarity vs cable..wish i could get all my HD content that way!..
for my .02 I would suggest getting an HDMI switch and use a DVI adaptor, unless the cables are too long (usually around 10M). Reason being is that the HDMI will be easier to sell the day you no longer need it.
What part of "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." do you not understand?
Thanks for your suggestion Mr..all the components are new..30in LCD..oppo HD upconverting dvd..jvc dt-100 vcr..the d-vhs has hdmi out..the dvd has dvi.TV has one dvi input..my point being i dont belive ill be selling anything anytime soon..i just wish i could find a good OFA antenna..one that gets both VHF and UHF..but isnt huge and ugly..ok...guess im stuck with ugly but cant find a small ugly one for on the wall outside the house!
See, what you have to do is go SO big and SO impressive that it becomes a point of pride rather than a mere eyesore. So, go for the block's more impressive communications array - with multiple antennas, satellite dishes, a weather station, outdoor cordless phone repeater, maybe a ham antenna and so forth. By the time you're done you'll be able to rival those cell phone repeaters. :-)
Many people are putting Large antennas inside their attics. It isn't the best for reception, but it will keep the wife, and the neighbors off your back. It's worth a try if you aren't too far away from your broadcasters. Keep your sales slip, and take it back if it doesn't work....
Hi Daniel..got that DVI switcher today..hooked it up and i cant get a picture from either source..the DVD just flashs lines across and D-vhs picture is on and off and sorta scrambled..as far as DVI cables goes..the 2 that i got with the dvd and d-vhs are the same..those of course go into the 2 inputs in the switcher.the other one ,the main from switcher to tv ..which i got with the tv, does not have all the pins..seems like 6 in the middle are removed..this is the case with both ends..can this be the problem?..when i had the dvd hooked direct to the tv via the DVI it worked fine..let me know guys..yikes sorry..the DVI cable from the d-vhs is also missing the pins..i just tried running that direct and at first it was screwed up also..then after turning it off and back on the picture is fine..im gonna try resetting the switch box..
