does anyone know the differences between these two sets and why I should purchase the 710 over the 700 model? thanks...

The 710 has a 72 point digital convergence system vs. a 9 point system for the 700. The 710 also has the 15 pind VGA connector on the back for easier hookup of HDTV sources (i.e. the DTC-100 DSS receiver from RCA). The 700 is lacking this! The 710 also has the PureCinema Format converter which automatically converts frame rates to eliminate motion artifacts. See Pioneer's web site for all the details. I was going to buy a 700 but an waiting for the 710 b/c IMHO it's MUCH better!
