I have a Sony Tv and the other day when I was watching it the screen went black and then shut off.. After that I have had no success turing it on... The only thing it does when I turn it on is a red light blinks... I tried unpluging it for 3 hours to reset it but it doesn't work
Could someone please help me.. Thanks

Every time I've seen a blinking red light, It has meant "I'm Broken. Have me looked at by a qualified repairman."

It's sad news, I know, but chances are it's only one small part that shut down your TV.

Does the red light just keep blinking, or does it blink a set number of times, pause, then repeat? If so, the number may indicate what type of error or flaw the TV is experiencing.

Just my thoughts. I am NOT a qualified TV repairman. Heck, I'm not ANY type of TV repairman.

Just blinking could be any number of things... generally something that is failing a built-in diagnostic, or a safety feature that is being tripped (either legitimately or by a failed sensor).
