let me start by apologizing for asking a question i belive will be answered already a gazillion times. unfortunately i have no clue how to search for the answer on the following question.

i am new here, and basically here to get this one question answered.
i am in the possession of a few very basic ir remote controllers for some chinese hardware i bought, the remotes are those most basic once in exsistance.. and i would like to replace them by an app on my phone. (miui 10 mi remote, or any other app)

for example one of them is this one (for photo see link)

which is the remote controller for a vention hdmi switch, with a 1-2-3-4-5 and up and down browse function.

unfortunately my phone has only an ir led, not a sensor (even though it has a cam.. ofcourse)
anyway.. there is no option to teach the app the functions of the remote..

never the less i believe that these remotes are basically all the same.

so what i would really like to know which options can i try from all the options in the app to try this out)

there has to be a standard for these remotes not?
