I've got an LG OLED65B6P TV, a Sonos Playbar, and an AppleTV. I like to use the TV's native interface for Netflix etc, because it supports 4k. When doing that, I can't use the LG remote to control volume on the Playbar, because the LG remote doesn't do infrared.
What can I do to fix this? An IR blaster that hooks up to the TV via USB or RS232? The TV doesn't have IR or RF out (RF in only).
My strong preference would be to simply control the Sonos volume with the LG remote, so I can use the pointer, etc.
If that won't work I'll have to decide between my current setup and a Harmony remote that won't control the pointer, I guess.
For now I use the AppleTV remote for volume and the LG remote to play, pause, etc. It's mildly annoying and I have to explain it to guests... And I have to turn off HDMI-CEC on the Apple TV because the volume buttons wake it up, and the LG stupidly exits Netflix and shows Apple TV.
