These two Remotes are pretty much the same. We used to sell & program the Nevo C3's. I still have two of these Remotes. I went to program, but I think there is some problem with the software. It's not working now. I tried to upgrade the software but I didn't get any where with them. Help. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

I appreciate you guys trying to help with this. I updated the EZ RC, but it still won't work. They said you can only use this with IE. I don't have IE. Then it says I have some missing drivers, or disfunctional drivers. The message may be a joke, since they wanted my credit card iunfo. Sorry but when I see that I close it down. Any other ideas? Help. Thanx.

My link also tells you in big bold letters that EZ-RC only works in IE, period. No way around that. What operating system are you running? There are over a billion computers running Windows. You need access to one of them for 5 minutes, long enough for your remote to update to the latest firmware. Then you never have to use IE or EZ-RC again.

You can use Remote Master instead right now, also found at my link. But it won't work 100% until you've made at least one connection to EZ-RC in IE. If you use Remote Master on a remote running an old firmware, you can do everything except turn off the Assistant screen on the remote. With the latest firmware, you can do everything in Remote Master.

Those are your only options.

If you are getting some credit card scam pop-ups, you have far bigger problems with your system.

Thank you for trying to help with this. In the past, we sold, programmed them. Now, it has changed. I listened to you and called the UEI Tech Support. Only a recording that they no longer manufacture or support the products. (no help here now). Where do I go from here? Help!
Incidently, one of my all time favorite Remotes was the NEVO Q50.

Did you actually try any of the solutions I gave you? If so, at what point did each one fail?

I really only wanted to do it thru EZ RC, since I had used it alot years ago. I had hoped that it could still work.

EZ-RC DOES still work, exactly the same as it did years ago - in Internet Explorer. As I said, there are billions of computers running Windows, and several ways to run Windows on non-Windows PCs (Parallels, VM-ware, etc.). You could even go to a friend or neighbor's house, your local library or internet cafe. If you already have Windows but have removed IE, then reinstall it. It's absolutely free. If you insist on avoiding IE at all costs, then use Remote Master. It works in every operating system. So there are many, many was it could still and indeed does still work.

I don't understand why you are being so obstinate about something you seem to want to get working. I've done about all I can do. It's impossible to help someone who doesn't really want to be helped.

I did some further testing, as my time to do this is limited. Here is what I ound. When I plug the Remote into the Computer, it doesn't see the Remote. I have tried it with two computers; a laptop & my Desktop. I also swapped out the connector wires; makies no difference. Does this tell you anything, mdave?

What operation system on your laptop and desktop? Did you install IE, or will you be using Remote Master?

When I plug mine in, screen on the remote briefly says "USB Connected". In Device Manager it shows up as Human Interface Devices -> HID-compliant vendor-defined device. Under Properties - Details, Hardware ids says HID\VID_06E7, among other things. My guess is yours is actually connecting fine. But if you have Mac or Linux, you'll have to get help at hifi-remote.com.

mdeave: My Laptop & Desktop have Windows 10. IE on both Computers. I have seen it say USB connected, but it never connects according to a message I get after that. I've never used Mac or Linux. I give up.

I have detailed the fix for connecting in Win 10 in my wiki. So the solution is there if you bother to read it. I also have a link to one-for-all's own Win 10 patch at the end of my article. I also tell you exactly how to use IE from within Edge. Why did you claim you didn't have IE when you had it all along?

In any case, I'll repeat the solutions here:

Win 10 connection patch: [Link: oneforall.com]

In Edge, you can re-open the EZ-RC page in IE mode by clicking the ellipses at the top right and selecting "Open with Internet Explorer".

If you haven't already, download the Conduit for EZ-RC here:

I give up too.

Win 10 has IE built in. How in the world did your systems not have it? All you do is go to a website, hit the ellipses and pick open in IE compatibility mode. No need to install anything. I told you to install it because you said you didn't have it. There is no need to install if you already have it, which you do, unless you purposely removed it to begin with.
