Hello there:

I am trying to recode a *Universal Electronics* remote (the standard remote for Rogers/Cisco digital tuners),

one device I have is a Technics digital processor(SH-AC500D) that works hand in hand with a Technics receiver/amp.

finding the codes for the receiver are a breeze (they are already in place) but finding the codes for this processor are not,

I came across (here in this website) an entry that displays ALL the sub codes for this device but I haven't seen the master code for the device,

can anyone lend some assistance?

thx, Steve

If by Master you mean setup code, then these are the only UEI codes that use Panasonic protocol, device 160, subdevice 18 and are used in the other codes you linked that have any chance of being in a cable remote. Even so, it's a pretty rare code.

Audio [3] 0521

If you use a Panasonic Combo protocol with variable subdevice and intend to program individual EFCs, then you have many more possibilities:

Audio [3] 1288, 1308,1518,1763,1764,0115,1309,1350,1363,1509,1765,1779,1807,2967,

Video/DVD [2] 1834,1905,1907,1908,1909,1910

(Prefix with the number in [brackets] if your remote takes 5 digit codes. Codes in bold are the most common.)

The only Rogers/Cisco DTA remote I can find accepts only TV codes and thus has none of the above built in. If you can post a pic or model number, I can give you a more definitive answer.

The universal remote that controls multiple devices used by Rogers for the Cisco 4642HD tuner is this...

[Link: google.com]

the model # of the remote I have is...1056B01....the remote is manufactured by Universal Electronics

Steve

a few of of the codes you displayed...1308, 1309,1518 are the setup code for the Technics receivers, which are different than that for the processor

Steve,
That's good news-- the Atlas 1056B01 is an excellent remote and it is possible to make it work with the SH-AC500D.  However, it does require doing a little more work than just assigning a setup code.  You'll need to enter a 5 digit EFC for each function.

First decide which buttons you want to use for the functions.  You already have the receiver set up on the Audio device button.  You may want to redefine some of the buttons in Audio mode so that the processor will respond to them instead of the receiver.  Or perhaps you'll want to use a different device button (I'll use VCR as an example) for the processor. Then:

A) Redefine the VCR button to change its type from Video to Audio.  (Skip this step if you're going to use the Audio button for both the receiver and processor.)
1) Press Setup until 2 blinks
2) Enter 992  (should see 2 blinks)
3) Press Audio
4) Press VCR  (should see 2 blinks)

B) Assign Setup code 1308 to VCR  (Skip this step if you're going to use the Audio button for both the receiver and processor.)
1) Press Setup until 2 blinks
2) Enter 1308  (should see 2 blinks.  If it doesn't blink twice, then step A didn't work)

C) Assign EFCs for each function to the buttons of your choosing.  Note that you can't assign EFCs to the device buttons, Setup, or Master Power.

1) Press Setup until 2 blinks
2) Enter 994  (should see 2 blinks)
3) Press Setup (don't hold it)
4) Enter the 5 digit EFC  (44862 for Vol+)
5) Press the button which should send this command (e.g. the Volume up button)  You should see 2 blinks.

Repeat step C for each of the functions below.

If you're willing to spend $8 on an interface cable, you can load all those codes in one shot by simply loading a file and without pressing any buttons at all.

[Link: ebay.com]

As you can see, 1308 is the correct code (as are all the others I posted) according to the pronto hex you found. The brands listed in the manual are irrelevant in this case. The important thing is finding a setup code with the compatible protocol and other details which I did, and for which 3FG was kind enough to provide all the individual EFCs.
