I have a Friedrich air conditioner at work that is installed in-wall high above our desk. The remote was lost in Hurricane Sandy. I have the same AC at home and need the least expensive learning remote I can find. Friedrich wants about $65 for a new one.

I'm no expert but how about buying a logitech harmony with learning on ebay.
