Just purchased a new Atlas 1056B01 remote and I'm trying get the correct codes for the cable box. The cable box is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HDC. Got the tv to work fine but no luck with the cable box. The codes I've used are 0877, 1877, 0008, 0477 and 0017. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The correct setup code is 0877. When you enter it, I suspect that you won't get 2 blinks, which implies that the setup code assignment didn't work. Probably your remote has setup code lock enabled for Cable.
To disable the setup code lock,
1) Press Setup until 2 blinks
2) Enter 982

If you get 4 blinks, now your remote should accept 0877, If you get 2 blinks, do steps 1 and 2 again. 4 blinks means the lock is disabled, 2 blinks means it is enabled.

In general, when assigning setup codes, pay attention to the LEDs after you enter the setup code. If you don't see 2 blinks, the assignment wasn't accepted.
