I just bought a Universal 6-1 Remote Control from the Dollar Tree and I own a Dynex TV, model number dx24e150a11. I have tried everything in the instructions and cannot seem to get it to work. Is there a certain code I should be using?

I don't think you'll find a suitable remtoe at the Dollar Tree. Some remotes made by UEI can send these signals using setup code TV 2049.
RCA RCRP05B
Insignia NS-RC05A-11 (Insignia TVs are typically the same as Dynex)
OARN06G
OARG04G
Sony RM-VLZ620 (setup code 02049)
These remotes tend to be under $20, but not a dollar.....
