Sorry if this has been covered anywhere else...

I have a Samsung 32" LCD (LE32R74BDX). Problem is that the 'TV' button on the remote control keeps flashing. I'm guessing that I need to reset it?

On the reverse of the remote it says to "refer to the manual for the control code and instructions on how to enter the code". Guess what, I don't have the manual.

Can anyone help? Pleeeeeeeease?

I don't have a serial number for the remote but have found one that looks the same on ebay and is named Samsung-Remote-Control-KIE200-BN59-00624...

Thanks

I've taken a look at the TV manual (available from here), but other than descriptions of how to set up and use the TV, there is no specific mention of the remote; i.e. how to set up the remote for use with other components (no instructions/codes).

I've also found other forum threads with people having similar problems; i.e. wanting codes and instructions (e.g. check out the 4th post), but I've not been able to pin down a copy. I can only suggest you contact Samsung directly and not be put off by the, "They're in the back of the manual" line.

Thanks djy,

I also manage to get a hold of the PDF manual but as you say nothing related to the code at all which renders the instructions on the back of the remote totally useless.

I also found the TV on the Samsung site and there's a few troubleshooting tips, which I tried but with no success.

Eventually I phoned Samsung who suggested taking the batteries out, holding down the Power button for 5 seconds then putting the batteries back in. Still didn't work.

Their only suggestion was to buy a new remote control!

Obviously I don't really want to do that so I'll wait and see if anyone else can come up with a few suggestions.

Thanks again for replying.

I can understand the reluctance, especially at the ridiculous price. There is, however, an alternative, albeit one that's not universal.
