I see reviews of this remote, but can't find any site that sells this remote. Is this remote for real? is the part# that is listed here correct?
Where do you guys go to find this remote for purchase?

The "PHDVR8L" seems to be a bit of a mystery remote. I have one - full color packaging, manual, etc, but it was sent to me by the manufacturer. Others have claimed to find it for purchase, but I'm not sure if they really had the "L" model or the PHDVR8 (without backlighting). And I believe that still others have found the backlit version of this remote sold without the "L" designation (which would still make it the same thing).

I don't know about the PHDVR8L version, but the regular version is PMDVR8 and can be found in lots of places... [Link: google.com]

The "PM" version is branded "Philips/Magnavox" while the "PH" is just "Philips". If anyone ELSE has one just branded "Philips" let me know what your model number is! :-)
