Having a problem getting my Bose GSX remote to control my DirecTV H20-100 Receiver. Does anyone out there have the answer? I have tried all of the codes from Bose, for both DirecTV and Thomson.

Give SAT code 1377 a try.

Tried code 1377 with no luck. The Bose remote recognizes it as an incorrect code.

The 321 remote is made by UEI, code 1377 is UEI code for D10 & other recent DTV receivers. The newest hitachi tv oem remote is made by UEI, and it has code 1377 loaded.

That may be true, but the code 1377 does not get my Bose remote to operate the DIRECTV HD20-100 receiver. I'm open to any other suggestions.

Sorry, you're just out of luck. the remote is older then the code, so it isn't preset. Time for a universal remote. Not many preprogrammed universal remotes have a code for the new line of dtv receivers. These are the non-pc programmable universal remotes with a code: URC R5, R7, RF10, RF20, and RF30, code in each is SAT 173. Then theres the Sony rm-vl600, code SAT 3214. RCA rcr815 code SAT 5094. And the One-for-all urc-6960, sat code 1377. Each of these are learning remotes, so if they don't have a preset code for bose you can teach them the commands.

I got Bose to send me the latest remote that they had for the 3.2.1. GSX system and punched in the code 1377, and believe it or not, it worked. Amazing what you can do with the most current remote.
Edmund, thanks for your help.

I had the same problem with a Bose Lifestyle 35 system and a DirecTV HD20-100 set top box. I called the Bose 800 Number, explained the problem and they recommended Code 1377 as others have reported. My system did NOT list this code. They talked me through verifying the software versions in my system, which SHOULD HAVE HAD the 1377 code in it. They sent me a software update DVD for my Lifestyle 35, anyway, which I used to update my system, and voila!!

Now my Bose remote controls my DirecTV HD20-100 box along with everything else in my home theater setup.

Call the Bose 800 number which can be found on the http://owners.bose.com website.

Don't take no for an answer, make them send you the DVD software update -- I doubt they will resist -- they were very polite and helpful to me.

Good Luck -- CALL THEM.
