The RF function of the 8090 is only used for its repeater unit, not for controlling other components.

I just wanted to confirm Kaz's point. The 8090 only uses RF so you can control your IR devices from another room, it is not capable of controlling RF equipment.

Some of the RF controlled equipment out their includes Bang&Olufsen, and the Bose Lifestyle system. If you are thinking about buying one of those products, you may want to think twice if you really want a universal remote. If you find what seems to be a great deal on a Bang&Olufsen or Bose Lifestyle product, make sure it comes with the original remote!
