i have had this insignia tv for a year and the other night i managed to lock the tv out completely. i can't use any funtiions that are on the tv itself..i have to use the original remote to turn on /off the tv. there is a blue screen with a red lock in the top left corner of the tv. i can't find the user guide, and have no idea how to unlock the tv. no buttons on the remote work other then tv on /off , i am not even sure what was pressed to lock it out. the tv is aprox a 25 inch, with original white remote. tv model number is ls-tvca 102502 the remote numbers are rc-a26-0a. any help would be much apreciated

I believe "Insignia" is a house brand for Best Buy, so it might be worth giving BB a call to see if they can help.

Hi ,
I got it figured out and called the technical support for this brand and she told me to press the " display " button for 3 seconds and it was unlock right away.

Mike, she still has the original remote, she just didn't know how to unlock the set, until someone posted the solution below. On June 17, 2006 at 00:01, inukshine said...

Locked Insignia NS-20 LCD
1. Locate second power switch on back hidden below curve, left side if facing front of TV. 2. Turn TV on using this power switch while holding in MENU button on right side of TV. 3. This is reset the Lock feature!!
Eureka! Finally ...

Hiteker TL1931W TV: I think turn on hold display button remote for 3?? seconds, this unlocked mine. There may be a sequence Hold display down, turn on TV hold for 3-sec, while holding turn off TV hold display.
