I just purchased the Iriq, I think it is a nice piece of equipment, BUT I am having problems with the software package. The editor will not recognize the remote when connected.

The port works, because I use the same port for my digital camera and palm pilot, so I am wondering if I have some kind of defective product or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

I used the set-up wizard and all of my equipment works except for my onkyo cd player(I am putting a call into Onkyo Monday)

Thanks
Marc

Make sure your not getting a IRQ conflict. I had to make sure I didn't get a conflict with my modem port - sharing IRQ's & couldn't be online at the same time I tried to communicate with IRIQ.

Good Luck! I sure like mine...

Better check the Palm Pilot end of things...

If I remember correctly, the Palm Pilot has some computer software that constantly runs in the background of your PC waiting for the appearance of the Palm Pilot Unit itself.

When you press the link button on your Pilot this software should come up automatically and start syncing the two units.

This software is probably holding onto the serial port and checking for the press of the button - and probably interfering with your unified remote.
