Since it is a Microsoft product expect frequent lockups (especially the blue screen of death), incompatabilites with other manufacturers, and Y2K issues. Wait untill Service Pack 1 comes out for the remote before considering it.

Most (if not all) blue screens are caused by faulty hardware or bad device drivers and not by Microsoft software. The same thing is true for the Madrigal remote. The software is OK but the hardware (specifically IR Range) is not.
