One really has to wonder how many morons there are out there, but I digress...

The instructions for programming this remote are
posted earlier in this thread. As this thread
is now 3 pages long and is full mostly of posts
like the one above, it tends to imply that the
instructions are buried and not easy to find,
so it's for that reason that I have also posted
them in a seperate thread...

I have lost the remote for my magnavox vc/dvd -- to set the timer you have to turn off the vcr and press the "timer button" where a little red light comes on.

I decided I would try to reprogram my universal remote -- fortunately last night I got it to work following the instructions on the forum -- I can turn the tv off, but have to manually turn it on, no problem there -- as long as the channel and volume works it's fine.

I couldn't get the dvd to program but I could play, rewind and record on the vcr and pull up the menu, however I could not use the menu. Then for some reason unknwon reason the timer button is "on" and now I can't use the vcr at all -- I can't turn off the timer button, now my vcr won't work at all.

I use my timer programs every day,

anyone else have this problem? thanks

If you're referring to the fact that I wrote up the instructions for programming this remote and keep providing links to those instructions, then yes, absolutely!
