Hey All:

I have been trying to figure this one out for a while. I have a SA 8000 HD DVR. I had a URc-8810 remote that would only run the channels. I used the learning to get the remote to do the other functions ( list, FF, play, record....etc). The remote disappeared last week never to be seen again.

I would like to have a universal that has the dvr built in that I could use without having to use learning (it gets confusing). Would the urc-6131 or the PMDVR8 work. They have the built in but would these keys work the SA 8000 or is there a way to program these keys to work it? Or would another remote without DVR do this and program the VCR keys to work with it.

I don't have alot of money to spend on a remote that could disappear like the last one (two young boys in the house).

Oh! the 8810 would not accept the code that customer service said might work. They said I could send it in but I didn't.

John
