I have several DISH UHF platinum remotes that I would like to use to control Comcast cable boxes (I am getting rid of DISH). I also have the black DISH UHF remotes with the IR/UHF extender "pyramid" that I would like to reuse. My Comcast boxes are the Motorola DCT2244, and DCT6412. I have contacted both DISH and Comcast, and they say they do not have any information on how to make the DISH remotes control the Motorola boxes. I have tried every code I can find and tried to program the AUX button, but no luck.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I hate to have unused UHF remotes just laying around, especially when I want to share signals to several TV's in several rooms.

Thanks

Does this remote have a CABLE device button? If so, does the manual list any codes for GI (General Instrument) cable boxes? If so, try those codes on the cable button.

Thanks for the reply. There is no CABLE device on the remote. I have SAT, TV, VCR and AUX buttons only. I have tried all the GI cable box codes without any luck. I assume I should use "2" plus the device code on the AUX button, but that does not yield any valid devices. Other suggestions?
