I was thinking about getting the DIRECTV Universal Remote Control for $20 but first I want to know if it is a learning remote. This is the URL for the popup window at Directv.com (it may not work because I was logged in - note that the https) -

I need to be be able to control either a Sony SAT-T60 or DirecTV R10 receiver with TiVo.

No the white Directv remote isn't a learning remote. It can control both a sony and a Non-sony tivo. The codes are 01442 for the R10, and 00639 for the T60. There are some problems with this remote, it doesn't accept advanced codes like other UEI remotes, It doesn't allow for vol punch for say a audio receiver, just Tv vol.
