I need to find the codes for my remote. Panasonic vcr model pv-v4524s universal remote. I've tried the search on this site. I've found nothing. I am new at this and could use some help. THANKS.

What remote are you using. The remote that comes with the VCR is not programmable, so you must mean another one, so give the exact model number.

The remote that came with the vcr is a universal. mod #eur7723kao. What I'm trying to do is find the codes that will set it to run my Sony trinitron. The remote is programable. It has a " TV " button so you can run the TV with this remote.
I have looked on the Panasonic site as well as this site. I am new at computers and probably did'nt enter it correctly in the search window.
What I need to know is, dose sony have the code that I enter into the panasonic remote? Or dose Panasonic have their own code that will run the sony TV? The manual for the vcr did'nt have any codes that I found. The Sony TV was given to me and did'nt gome with a manual.
As you can see I am not the most tech. minded guy around.
Ron (aka senior member) please help if you can.

I missed the page on assigning the code when I read the manual because this particular pdf file displays in an unusual way and I really had to search for it, but here is the info you need.
Hold down the TV button on your VCR remote, then press the code for Sony TV, 08, and release the TV button. This should allow you to control your Sony TV.
I have sent you the pdf file of the manual by email in case you don't have it. If your email blocks it or you don't get it, let me know and I will give you a link.
