Alright all you fellas out there!! I need some remote guidance. I am looking for a universal remote for my husband for a Christmas present. I want to spend somewhere between $75 to $125. It will need to control a JVC receiver & DVD player, dish network box, and a Samsung HDTV. Things to include are: Macros, Custom Labels, backlighting would be great. He is undecided on the real buttons vs touchscreen display. Your input is greatly appreciated!

I would look at the MX-500 or possibly a Harmony remote

The custom labels are the tricky part. The MX series have them. I don't know about the Harmony. Some Sony's. The Pronto (touch screen) have them but I think they are out of your price range.

bluedo & surfremotecontrol have open boxes. My MX700 from bluedo was just like brand new. That can save a few bucks. I prefer the 700 to the 500.

Yes the open box MX700 is $189 if remember correctly.
