I've a pioneer audio video programmable remote control unit, CU-VSX014 which I bought long time ago. Unfortunately, have clean forgotten about it, when found the manual had gone missing, and i haven't a clue on how to operate or how to programme it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are no codes in that pioneer remote, its strictly a learning remote. I used that exact remote for over 8 years, its the oem remote for the pioneer VSX-D1S.

1. place the pioneer remote face to face with the donor remote, the remote your learning from.
2. pick a mode to learn to on the pioneer, Audio, Video, or AUX.
3. switch from USE to LEARN
4. press a key on the pioneer remote and release.
5. now press a key on the other remote and hold, until the red light goes out.
6. continue with steps 4 & 5 for other keys
7. when done, switch it from LEARN to USE

It was great at the time, under VIDEO, you had VCR, LD, TV tuner, AMP. I might still be using it if it wasn't for Satellite, too many of them, and each having tuner section and a cursor pad. So in 1996 I switched to the producer 8,the 8080.
