Hello, I just purchased a Toshiba widescreen TV, a Panasonic dvd player and a Pioneer home theater system. Along with those 3 items I also have a Sony vcr, Hughes direct tv system and A Sony Playstation 2. I do not have the factory remote for the Panasonic dvd player. I have all the remotes for the other items. I am looking for the best and most functional universal remote I can find. I realize that no one remote can do everything exactly like the original,(do I assume to the amount of brand specific functions)but there has to be one that is really close and easy to use. I hope I have came to the right spot for some good advice. Thank you in advance for you time and help.

MX-700 will do everything your oe remotes would and then some. It also greatly simplifies the operation of the whole system. You won't be sorry. Its also easy to program.

Well I forgot to add a few things. I need to stay at $200 or under and hopefully find one that Crutchfield carries since I have a $160 dollar credit there I can use. I am sure that the MX-700 is awesome but I can not justify paying more for my remote than I paid for my home theater. Thank you for your reply but I need something a little more economical. I forgot to say this earlier,"Happy Thanksgiving to everyone."

Happy thanksgiving as well. BlueDo has the open box MX-700's for about $187. Not sure what Crutchfield sells. You might be happy with one of the Sony Touch screens. They are more affordable but lack the power of a 700.

I don't know what they have either, the MX-700 is a great remote and there are many more out there. There is also it's smaller brother MX-500 and there is also the Harmony line of remotes
