I have a Pronto NG 3000 which I feel is truly NG (No Good). No sleep timers, querks of all kinds, etc.

The only things I really need are X-10 and Sleep timers - not long macros to set-up every time I'm ready to pass out on the sofa.

What else is out there as a great programable remote? my budget is $300 or there abouts.

You could get by with an old One For All "Producer 8" remote as these have the Timed Macro function, and they can control X10 (with an IR543 box). You can usually pick them for $20-$30 on ebay.

Try a MX-700. Its as intuative as any remote you'll find. Will do anything you desire, and will fit into your budget.
The only 'drawback' is that you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner!
Happy days!

Sleep timers?
As long as your reciever has that capability, you can program that, no problem. The remote itself doesn't offer that.

My receiver does not have a sleep timer. That is why I need a remote I can program.
Thanks.
