Here's my situation:
I have my stereo components in one room and my speakers in another. I'd like to be able to control my components from the room with the speakers. I tried a radio shack IR repeater with the original remotes, but it often picks up radio interference and sends stop and play signals to my CD player.
I just bought a Jensen SC595 which is full RF, but I'm unable to control one of my components (a Creek Passive preamp which I use as a volume control only). I manually coded all of the codes listed for receivers into it and it still doesn't work.
Are there any RF universal remotes that learn from original remotes? I'd like to zap a new remote with my old one and have it learn functions. Are there any repeaters better than the pryamid-shaped radio shack ones?
My components that I need to control: Marantz CD67SE CD Creek OBH-12 Passive Preamp Sony DTC-2000ES DAT deck Please help!
