I'm considering using this romote as a chew toy for my dog if I can't get the JP1 to work. My JP1 interface/IR works great on all my RS remotes, but I cant get it to work with my RCA RCU810. I didn't solder the JP1 header yet, I just pressed it into the holes on the PCB. It seems to make good contact, but I can't get it to pass the interface test. Has anyone else had trouble with the RCU810 JP1 interface? Would soldering the connector permanently make any difference?
