While looking for information on the 'net about remotes I found a site I figured some of you will really want to know about...if you have a learning-only remote, (or a learning/preprogrammed remote which doesn't have the codes you need built-in), then you should look at http://www.replacementremotes.com
(they have pretty reasonable prices...especially as compared to a dealer of your gear..I found dealers tend to charge a *ton*)
It may be more cost-effective to buy a pre-programmed remote to program your learning remote with, but in some cases those won't have certain special functions, such as two way data transfer (as with those Sony CD changers which have disc track info on the remote's display). Or, you may just prefer the overall design of a certain factory remote.
