Hello,
I just bought a new LXI 13" tv for my bedroom. I found my OFA-2060, however, no directions for programming or no codes. I have been somewhat communicating with ofasupport@ueic.com. They e-mail me lots of codes but none of them worked. I starting to wonder if the remote is even a 2060. I say that it is because inside the battery compartment is just the # 2060. However, I have accessed other sites and their picture of the 2060 does not look like the one I have. It is slender has a magic button at the top then TV,VCR, CBL below the magic button. The part that puzzles me is the center of the remote has 2 areas. A vol up and vol down directly below that and a ch up and ch down across from the vol buttons. Heres the tricker, there is a round button which seperates the vol and the ch section. The 2060 I have seen does not have the middle round button.
Please help me!!! I have been fighting with this crap for over a week.
Thanks,
Gina

If the remote has a "magic" button (aka "setup") then it sure sounds like an OFA remote, in which case you can find most of the info that you need on my site.

However, it's probably quite an old remote, which means that it probably won't have codes for new equipment in it.

Hello,
Rob, I tried your web site. It seems that my remote is a cross between a URC2060 and a URC2062. Mine looks just like the 2060 but it has the center button like the 2062. There is not a picture of mine exactly.
Thanks anyway for the info.
Gina

If your remote is somewhat like the URC-2060, you should be able to use the following page to decide which manual to use from my site:

You can then find the 3 digit setup codes from the various lists on this page:

Here's a picture of the URC-2060 and URC-2062, followed by pics of other remotes that look somewhat similar:

Old thread, old remote... and old at the dawn of the digital revolution TV. One for All doesn't even acknowledge the URC-2060 on their website. The referenced code list here saved a device from the scrap heap; the TV since it's original remote was lost long ago. Back to the future, after a move, we have a fill in until the new 4k TV arrives and then the old Westinghouse becomes an extra computer monitor for work from home text files.

Bonus, if the 2060 can work with the new TV then excellent as it was bought originally so that my mom could easily see the large buttons.
