I was adding some LD codes to my RC2000/2 tonite when during learn, the low batt indicator came on. I changed the batteries and went back to learning, only to find my Marantz acting weird.

If I go back into LEARN and then press any button assigned to the LCD, the NAME mode button comes up (so that both LEARN and NAME are showing at the same time) and the remote won't learn. The function buttons on the main body will still learn without this thing with NAME happening.

Thinking I simply needed to reset the remote, I've come to the realization that I can't figure out how. Anybody know how to do this or what the basic problem with learning that has happened is due to?

Thanks for any help -

michael ,the remote is supposed to do that anytime you press one of the lcd buttons to learn a code it will flash name/learn.it will not let you learn any of the hardbutton codes again until you leave the name/learn screen and loop back thru to regular learn again.i always learn all my names on the lcd first then go back and learn the codes in the lcd after.i you have any questions e-mail me.I've done many rc-2000s and know all the tricks

I think it's a pretty fair bet to say that a member, with no profile to check, hasn't been around for quite some time.

Manuals for the RC2000 MKII (quick and full) can be found here and here.
