Daniel, it seems the only remotes around are the Marantz, Pronto, Take Control, Sony av2000, & Universal Theater Master that are decent learning remotes. Unfortuately the pronto and HK are out until they come down in price, I could use that money to add more accessories to my home. Do you know of any others that are available to the public that are of the same quality as these and within the 100-200$ range? I have been searching for weeks and got the best info here. It sure would be a big help. Thanks

Well, there's also the One For All av Producer 8, but it's not a true learning remote. In the $100-200 range you've listed them all - it's still a small niche market.

What about the 8180 Touchscreen Learning IR Remote at [Link: smarthome.com]. I have a feeling it is also sold under various names with a large range of prices. Do you know anything abuot it?

I believe the original manufacturer of that is Rotel... their comparable model is the RR990. I haven't seen one personally, but it's simular in concept to the Sony RM-AV2000 though with no hard buttons.

It looks very ismilaqr to a remote over here in the UK called the Remote Angel which retails at about £80 ($130). It has a bit of a mixed reputation - screens are rumoured to fade quite quickly.
