I'd like to re-label the 10 main function buttons. Anyone make replacement caps, buttons or labels (that stick permanently) for it? Any other thoughts?

In a review vein, I've tried several of the high-end touchscreen, programmable remotes and just never got comfortable with the lack of real buttons. I think the Marantz pretty much strikes the proper balance with their mix. My enhancement requests for the next version:

1. Lose the obnoxious green light. Soft white or blue would be less painful.
2. Enable the Clear key in "Name" mode. It's function would be to clear all text for the selected item and also clear any IR code stored there (that doesn't mean "restore factory IR code"). It's really tedious clearing entries in the MkII.
2a. Come to think of it, I imagine most users of this remote that don't own any other Marantz gear (and maybe even then) would love to have a simple way to clear the entire remote of both text and codes. That would be sweet.
3. Allow macros to be associated with any button. For example, it would be nice if when I'm on my "CD" page if the Source Power button could turn on all my players.
4. Add a record button (not one of those damn two-button record jobs).
5. Offer replacement caps for the main function buttons. I really despise the DSS/MD crap and it's a little silly to let me change the title on the LCD without giving me a way to change it on the button itself. How about one cap for MSS and one for MD? While you're at it, add: VCR1, VCR2, VCR3, TAPE1, TAPE2, CD-R, DAT, etc. This would provide for a very slick look-and-feel for anyone who wants to organize the buttons differently (I'm guessing that's everybody!).
6. Cloning. Allow a function button on one remote to be cloned to a different function button on the second remote. This would make it much easier to reorganize the functions when components are added or dropped from the system.

I think this is a great remote. With these changes, it would be perfect. :)

I'm looking for an RC 2000 MKII, used or at a discount. I just bought a Mac 132 and other gear
and already have seven remotes. A salesman suggested the Marantz. I have never used it.

Thanks
