Hi.

I'm totally new to remote technology, but have been asked by my father to find a remote to cover his needs. He seems to like the RC9800i, but is unsure if using a wi-fi Palm pilot unit as a remote might be a better solution. The needs are quite basic:

- controlling mp3's/music stored on pc via wireless network
(should be easy to change artist etc.)

- display showing currently played track (similar to an mp3 player)

- volume control
(controlling volume on amplifier would be a plus, but not a must)

suggestions? thanks in advance :)

Hi,
If your main goal is to have good control over music (and the remote part is not needed), I would suggest you also take a look at the Sonos system (www.sonos.com).
