After the request for the old firmware I posted it in the following news-group: alt.binaries.multimedia.utilities and the nzb in: alt.binaries.ftd
The post has the following subject: Philips 9800i remote firmware 2.0.78 [1/1] - "rc9800i_00_fus_eng.rar" yEnc
It is the european firmware version: 2.0.78

why not install firmware upgrade 2.0.80? is thew older better?

Not that I know, but there were some requests from users who encountered problems with the new firmware that they didn't experience in the old one. I have the newest firmware installed and are pleased with it. The biggest issue here is that Philips doesn't inform the users what the changes in the new firmware are. So some good advice if the remote is working fine and no problems are experience DON'T upgrade!
