I've run into a problem, and can use any help I can get here!

The RC32/R15 wasn't found in any of the PVR codesets, so I selected "Custom" from the codeset database and let the 9800 learn each button. The nasty thing is that the 9800 seems to be sending a buffer full of commands (like 555555555555555555 instead of a single digit 5), or 20 on/offs instead of one on/off command.

Any ideas? At a dead end.

Wil

PS - have tried this with a 2nd RC32 - same thing :(

The problem is the Directv reciever. You need to reset the original remote to the box and then you should be fine. I have encountered this too many times to count. Othewise keep playing with the buttons and eventually it will quit doing multiples for you.

Hey, thanks tons for the help... do you have a recommendation on how to go about doing that with the RC32? I've only done that with the RC32RF.

Cheers! - Wil

To reset the RC32:

1. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
2. enter 9 8 1

Yes, that reset the remote. using "Learn", I reloaded the "5" key from the RC32 into the 9800 again, and when I pressed that key on "Try" the receiver saw incoming 5's until I turned the receiver off using the RC32 - four 5's at a time in the channel display, for about 5 minutes. :(

Argghhh.

Try using the H10 or H20 from the database.
