I have a RC9800i with the most recent software update. I have been using it for about a month now and can not figure out how to get it to change the input on my Sony KDL40S2000 TV. I need to use a menu system to change and that is not really an option on the remote. I have seen those posts about creating the extra false components to add extra steps but I dont think that works in this case, does it? Please help.

Hi figured it out yet?
I’m using a menu myself to control the source inputs on my TV.
When you configure the remote it asks you a lot of questions about your TV. How it changes channels etc, during those questions it also asks you how to select source this is where you select the menu option

I tried to go throught those windows several times and I still can not get it to change the input correctly.
I am putting the remote up on e bay this evening, I have a harmony 880 arriving on wednesday from amazon.
I wish this thing was more customizable and easier to use, but for now I am going back to more hard buttons, I will see how the harmony goes.
