To DePampi or anyone with info on this,

I am not running the latest remote firmware (browser 1.9.c064a, server ver. 1.9.c064a) but I am experiencing a lot of freezes and lockups. Will the latest version of the firmware take care of these issues? Where can I get this latest version?
This is the ONLY complaint I have about this remote. Everything else is exactly what I need.

BTW, it is a U.S. version of the remote.

The latest firmware is available here: [Link: homecontrol.philips.com]

Whether it will fix your stability issues, I don't know (my RC9800i is going back today as I just couldn't get the WiFi to work). Be aware though that it has been reported here and elsewhere that the latest firmware causes problems for some people with EPG downloads. I believe the previous version (2.78?) is available (but not from Philips) and seems to be the preferred version.

Thanks PaulH2,

Sorry to hear about your wifi issue. All my other functions (WiFi, EPG, etc) work great on the remote. Like I sad just the freezing issue which only crops up if the remote is left alone for more than a minute.

Where can I get this preferred 2.78 version without much hassle.

Sorry, the version is actually 2.0.78.

Have a look in this thread for where to find it (I haven't looked myself): [Link: remotecentral.com]
