With the exception of not being able to activate the EPG or the Philips Media Manager software, Is it worth upgrading the firmware.

My device is correctly controlling all of my devices (Sky, Receiver, TV, Media Centre PC and DVD) and I do not want these settings erased by a firmware upgrade.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is not true! there are two methods of doing a firmware upgrade, one is destructive and the other not (RTFM).

ps.
If it isn't broke, don't fix it!

@ De Pampi:

This sounds very interesting, especially as I can't get rid of the US firmware.
How do I perform a 'destructive' upgrade ? I haven't found this information in the
manual ...

Thanks in advance !

Hold down both the back and home button while switch off-on the devices with button at the back and tap the screen to wake up remote. A white screen with black text should appear with the instructions.
