Hey....I have been looking into streaming music from my pc to my home theater & looked at Sonos but the only thing I didn't like about Sonos was it has a separate control just for the music. I want an actual remote control to do everything...not just music control only.

With the Philips RC9800i can I hook up something like the Apple AirPort Express & use this remote or do I need something else as a media adapter? I will want to use the remote off of the cradle...so I do need some media adapter, which I thought the AirPort is, right?

I know the interface won't be quite as pretty as the Sonos, like no coverart but I do like iTunes & my kids of course use iTunes...Oh, I should say I have not purchased songs from iTunes & will not use the AAC file format, only MP3 files.

So, if I cannot use the Airport Express...What other Media adapter can I use that will facilitate iTunes...or am I stuck with using the Philips Media Manager?

By the way, I am currently using the Denon Aktis remote, so this remote would be an upgrade for me even with all the quirks(The Denon has it's own quirks)...

Thanks in advance

Joe

no response?...

Am I totally wrong about this thing?

The concept of this remote is really great...I was just wondering if you have to use Philips Media Management, which I downloaded yesterday & it looks like you must use that program to communicate with the remote

Any help on the type of media adapter would help, preferebly something with iTunes/iTunes file management usability.

Thanks in advance

Joe
