Three more things happened that just sent me over the edge:

1. The backlight for the hard buttons just quit working (had to reset unit).
2. The unit just quit responding and had to be reset.
3. Magically now, any power command for the TV does not work. All other commands work, and the power commands used to work. Reset did not help.

It is clear to me that Philips does not care too much about this product, and the list of minor to major issues keeps growing for me. The sad thing is the product only needs a few relatively small enhancements or fixes, and it would be darn near perfect.

Sad day for me, as I did grow attached to many of the cool features, all for a mere $249. Oh well, it is back to one of those All-in-One remotes with the gigantic number shaped buttons for old people. ;-)
