I have had thsi remote for 6 months now, and as yet have failed to get it working, at all :-( . The one thing that I find hardest of all is the DVD Player. when you go into Brand, then next and it gives you a list of available things to setup there is no dvd player, the menu im on about is the one that starts tv, tuner, and the like.
I have tried downloading some of the great setup files on this site and have had great trouble even pulling them into pronto edit, let alone using on the actual remote.
The setup I have is

Pioneer PDP-506XDE screen
Denon DVD 1920 DVD Player
Denon AVR 1906 AV Reciever
Sky Plus HD Satillite

Is this a hard setup to complete ??
I'm not a total idiot ( well not a lot ) I build and run PC's with no problem, but every time I oick this remote up it gives me a very wide parting :(

I paid £500 for it, would I be better off selling and getting an easier to setup one, I really do not have the time to sit with this thing for days, just to get it working.

Has anyone any setups that will work with the above, and how do I setup a DVD Player when its not even on the remote to satrt with :(

Any help, or advice would be very appreciated.

And please do not flame me to much, I admit ( in thsi case ) Im coming across as a real dummy :-(

Thanks

This is the 9800i forum. Since you have a Pronto try posting your Q in the Pronto NG forum.

My tip (I own the same Pronto as you do. And the same screen by the way.)

If you find programming your Pronto hard stick with the standard setup.
Then rearrange and rename the buttons (you know, drag and drop, copy past) on the exsisting deviced around so that they match your buttons on the original remotes. Then learn all of the buttons one by one remote for remote.

At this point you should be able to do anything with you remote and this give you time to experiment with marcos, hidden devices and so on.
