I just purchased a RC9800i after reading several wonderful reviews. I was excited about my new purchase (which I haven't gotten yet) until I started reading some more. My main goal was to have a real all-in-one remote and never have to touch my stack of remotes again. Is this going to happen? My biggest concern is with my Cox suppied Scientific Atlanta HD8300 cablebox/dvr. Will it give me the functions that I need to control this box? Will I have to flip thru endless screens to do simple functions?
I guess what I would like to know is - should I even bother taking it out of the box before I return it?
Thanks for

If you are a "simple" user who just needs a remote to change channels and systems, this will work fine. If you want to do advanced functions on your systems, this remote is a little frustrating.
