It seems like I have come to an impasse with my Pronto. I have been a loyal Pronto user for 14 years. Started with a 1000 and now have a 7000. It has done everything I have ever asked it to do until now.
I just got a new Comcast (Xfinity?) X1 box. From what I have researched, the Pronto cannot control the X1.
Before I go out and buy a Harmony Elite (which I am concerned will not offer the level of customization of the Pronto), is there any way the Pronto can control the X1. Also, are there any recommendations on another remote that will control the X1 and offer the level of customization that the Pronto has.

Everything I've read here recently - answer is NO, not b/c of Pronto - Xfinity X1 remotes XR2 [V3] and XR11 models - regardless of X1 box type - seem to be RF transmitting only to the Xfinity cable box. Pronto "learning" - with or w/o ProntoPro Edit - is IR only. I too am looking for a solution for my recently obtained TSU7500 and new X1 box with XR11 remote. I am not using ProntoPro Edit - I have a Mac. There is a Pronto RFX6000/01 RF wireless Expander ($20-$60 on eBay) - however I don't think it will solve our "learning" problem. Any more knowledge regarding our problem is welcomed and appreciated.

The answer is yes. See my thread in the harmony section. It works great, now where is my receipt to best buy.
