I just purchased a used 7500 to be a backup for my existing 7500. Couple things when I got this... when I turn on the unit, it has what looks like a gunshot on the screen (my good one does not do this)... and of course, i want to take off the old commands and redo it with my own configuration files... but when I try to download it, it just gives me an error - and doesn't work.

any thoughts????

the message I get when trying to down load is "an error occurred while downloading the configuration to this device"

and maybe the screen shot that I get (when first putting in the battery) is more of a small splat of water than a gunshot..... if any of this helps decode what's going on!

Thanks!!

And yes... the configuration file downloads fine on my good unit...

Did you try doing a firwmare reload to the unit that does not work? Does the firmware load succeed?

Download the zip from the Programs - Philips - Old Software area of the NG files section, unzip and run the FirmwareUpdater.ex

I believe that 3.7.7 is the latest.
