McAfee thinks the download has virus's, any clue as to what the deal is? Has the download or Pronto ProEdit NG for Win 7 been compromised?

Thinking about it.... not sure how anyone in the forum will be able to help, as you would have to attempt the download to see if you get the same message. McAfee does block the download right out of the gate, says there's a Trojan. So nothing got loaded on my machine. Perhaps the forum moderator can simply remove and reload the download with a new master copy. If you would reply to this thread (when and if you do replace it :) ) I will try it again. If it gets blocked a second time, I will assume it is an issue with McAfee and will check with them.

There is no 64-bit driver support per being able to download to a TSU7x00 series remote. As such, I'm guessing you are running a 64-bit Windows 7 operating system. That being said, if you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate and haven't done so already download and install Windows XP Mode from Microsoft that way you can download to the remote within that virtual Windows XP 32-bit environment. If you only have Windows 7 Home Premium consider upgrading to Professional that way you could then download and install Windows XP Mode. That's what I did.

thanks Lowpro for the response. After review here is what I think happened...

My initial issue was McAfee blocking the download. Turned out I clicked on one of the Ads on the download page, and not the correct download item. The ads looked like the right thing to click on to download the Pronto Pro Edit NG. Sadly it loaded software I did not want and I had to restore to a previous state to remove (it also does not uninstall properly). I know sites need advertisers, but they should not be malicious.

I did get the right program, but hit the same wall as others regarding no 64 bit drivers. I did see the references to running XP in a VM...

I do have Win 7 Professional... so I appreciate your instructions and it does not look to complex to load XP.

I installed Virtualbox on my Windows 7 and then installed Windows XP within Virturalbox. I then installed Pronto Edit. When I run Pronto Edit it does not see the attached tsu 7000. Could someone please tell me what I need to do to make this work? XP says, "the device is not connected properly."
