Since Philips have stopped making these remotes anymore can anyone tell me where I can buy spares for my RU980, The function buttons on my RU980 are starting to play up so I need a new membrane that is located under the buttons.

Any info or help would be appreciated

Thanks
Barry

Not sure where you can go for service in UK. But you can always pick one up off ebay. If you pick up a US TSU3000/3500, the membranes will be the same.

I've repaired the membranes of both my TSU7000 and TSU7500.
It's a lot of work getting to them but it pays off: thorough cleaning and some flattening did the trick...
Somewhere on this forum there's a step-by-step guide I remember.

What do you mean by flattening? I’d like to refresh my buttons on an old TSU7000 as some no longer snap and make contact when barely touched. If anyone knows where get the 6mm snap domes they could be replaced on the membrane or button sheet or Foil without too much trouble. I also found what I think is the replacement part.

I know, it was just in case the part is not really available. The three places I found show it’s not in stock and is a special order. It may still be in there database but not available. If I could find a shop that sells the 6mm 4 leg dome snaps I could just replace the ones on the existing button sheet.

Any idea what they ment by "cleaned and flattened out"?
